Jeffrey Toobin has written about legal affairs for The New Yorker magazine since 1993. He is the author of The Oath: The Obama White House vs. the Supreme Court, published in September.
Toobin is also the senior legal analyst for CNN, which he joined in 2002 after seven years with ABC News. In 2000, he received an Emmy Award for his coverage of the Eliān Gonzālez case. Earlier books include The Nine: Inside the Secret World of the Supreme Court (2007); Too Close to Call: The Thirty-Six-Day Battle to Decide the 2000 Election (2001); A Vast Conspiracy: The Real Story of the Sex Scandal That Nearly Brought Down a President (2000), and The Run of His Life: The People v.
